iOS: Unreliable alarm

There can be various reasons why an alarm is not triggered correctly.

The points listed below are the most common causes of unreliable alarms on iOS devices. Please go through these points in order.

To test the alerting before or after adjusting settings, please follow the instructions described here.

1️⃣ Make sure that your iOS is up-to-date. An up-to-date iOS is essential for the app to function properly.

2️⃣ Check whether the alarm can be found on your smartphone under 'MY ALARMS'. If this is not the case, you have not been notified about this specific alarm. In this case, please contact your local administrator or supervisor and ask them why you were not included in the alert.

3️⃣ Please ensure that your device has a data connection at all times. Without a data connection, the alarm notifications cannot be delivered.

4️⃣ Check whether the notification settings of your smartphone are configured correctly and the necessary authorizations have been granted. You can find instructions on how to do this here.

5️⃣ With a connected Apple Watch, all notifications are only sent to the watch. No acoustic alerts can be sent to the watch. However, you have the option of deactivating the mirroring of alerts for individual apps in the watch settings. You will then receive the corresponding notifications from these apps on your smartphone again as usual.

6️⃣ An expired certificate on your smartphone for the GroupAlarm app can be another cause. To solve this problem, you can remove the app from your profile and reinstall it. We have provided a detailed description here.
