Elements of the flow - DWD weather warnings

The trigger DWD weather warning starts a flow when the German Weather Service issues a weather warning that meets the defined criteria.

The following objects can be used in the further course of the flow:

Internal alert ID
ID of the affected region
Name of affected region
State
State abbreviation
Start time
End time
Weather warning
Warning level
Event name
Headline
Description
Instructions

⚠️ The objects contain data directly from the German Weather Service. It cannot be guaranteed that all objects always contain data.

Configuration

1️⃣ In the input field for the warning areas, you can define the areas for which you want to receive a warning.

⚠️ The DWD must actually issue warnings explicitly for the defined area. Otherwise, the flow will not start.

2️⃣ The warning criteria can also be used to define the type of warning or event for which the flow should start. Examples would be storm, icy or fog.

3️⃣ Furthermore, the warning level or in other words, the intensity of the event can be determined. The DWD levels range from 1 weather warnings to 4 warning of extreme thunderstorm warnings. The flow is always triggered when the DWD issues a warning of the specified level or higher.

4️⃣ The input field Ignore similar warnings for ... can be used to set up a time window in which similar warnings should not start the flow after the first warning has been processed. This can be useful if the DWD sends multiple similar warnings within a very short time.
