Android: Change alarm tone

Use the default alert tone

To change the alert tone, go to the "Settings" section. Under "Notifications" > "Alarm tone" you can choose from 31 predefined sounds or your own sound.

Use your own sound

To select your own sound, first download it to your smartphone and make sure that it is in the download directory.
Now open the sound selection in the GroupAlarm App and tap on the item "Add" in the area "My Sounds". You may first have to allow access to media and files before the file selection opens.

On smartphones up to Android 10, you will now receive a list of all sound files found on your device, which you can select by tapping and import into the GroupAlarm App.
On smartphones from Android 11 onwards, the file manager will now open, allowing you to select the desired sound file on your smartphone and import it into the GroupAlarm App.
