# Switch off battery optimisation

#Switch off battery optimization

First, make sure you have an active data connection via WLAN or your mobile network provider.

Then you can check if of a [test alert](/en/article/test-notification-settings-1wpa89r/) works as intended.

If it is delivered successfully, you need to tap the notification to ensure that the "intelligent battery optimization" of current smartphones recognizes that you are interested in such notifications and does not reset them.

In addition, you can completely deactivate the battery optimization for the GroupAlarm app. To do this, go to Settings > Battery > Battery optimization on your smartphone and select the GroupAlarm app from the list. Now tap on "do not optimize".

If the delivery is not successful, you should unpair the device smartphone app settings, add it again and start the process again.
