# GroupAlarm Cockpit - Alert Units

The `Alert Units` module allows you to flexibly alert one or more units simultaneously.

|| ⚠️ The following permissions are required for this module: `Create` rights for the `Alarms` service, `Read` rights for the `Events` service, and `Read` rights for the `Units` service. Details on permissions can be found [here](https://docs.groupalarm.com/en/article/permissions-gj5pz3/).

1️⃣ The units can be marked for triggering. It is possible to select multiple units.

2️⃣ In the input field for the event, you can assign an event name or select an existing event in which the units are to be alerted.

3️⃣ You can also set the severity for the event. This must also be set if you want to trigger the units in an existing event that already has a severity. 

|| ⚠️ If you remove the severity, this will also remove the severity for the event.

4️⃣ In the input field for the alarm text, you can specify the text of the alarm that will be displayed to the participant. You are free to choose this text.
